I am very dissatisfied with this office.I had a 3pm appointment, sat til 3:30, then when i asked about my appointment i was told i could either reschedule or wait another 45 minutes to be seen. Since I had to take time off from work, I chose to wait. Dr. Sanders finally saw me, was very rushed and seemed annoyed with my questions. I was prescribed a medication that needed to be pre-authorized. I have been on the phone between my insurance company and this office for almost 2 weeks trying to get the medicine I need. Each time I speak with the ins company, they have told me that the office is not sending all of my information to them, and they need the office to contact them. Each time I call the office to tell them this, they say they will have it taken care of. They have not yet. I called today well before 4pm (10am actually) asking for a call back to straighten this out. I have yet to hear from them, and as far as I know, they have yet to contact my insurance company. This is absolutely unacceptable.
DO NOT GO HERE treated me and my mom like garbage/drug seekers, made us wait 30 freaking minutes just for that the doctor that saw us is a quack and doesnt know what he is talking about its in a old store for goodness sake looks more like a emergency room and not one of those good ones i suggest no one goes here for your safety and sake of emotional health
I switched to a physician in Sturgis Medical Group approximately over a month ago. This switch has been one of the most frustrating I have experienced as a patient. The knowledge of working in the medical field, completing the process as an employee for patients, and my understanding has made my frustration increase. First of all, I signed the release of medical information to get my records from previous physician. This is a normal process and is required and completely understandable.I have a daily medication that I take and need. I took my next prescription and bottle to my appointment to get my medication switched over. However, my new physician refused to fill my prescription until my records were received. Having the knowledge of the process I was prepared and got them the required records to stay ahead of the process. Second of all, I have now been waiting 15 days for an prior authorization form on my medication to be completed. FYI to complete this process on average it takes about 15 minutes. This is beyond unacceptable and not one person in that office has any answers. Third of all, contact has been made with the PA department of my insurance on several occasions. The insurance company is not able to complete the process without the form. Finally, let me sum up this review with find a different medical group. This conduct is unacceptable and this situation shouldn’t have gone so far. I can’t imagine what would happen to a patient that isn’t knowledgeable with this process and didn’t know what steps to take.
Dr. Mamou is an honest caregiver that respects patient opinions.
They suspected something more serious and a test caught an artery blockage in early forming stage. Treatment and specialist eliminated it.
Good care.
