Very nice place for a family camping. Bath house could be cleaned more during holiday weekends but other than that i enjoyed every minute

I love the golf course right next to it it's a pretty chill place to chill

Water: Our 2nd day we returned "home" and didn't have water. We called the office and they informed us that they were having problems with the water and it would be restored within the hour. An hour later it was on again, but it was inconvenient to us because we wanted to make dinner and needed water. When you pay for water at your site you expect to have it at all times (this added insult to injury after the air conditioning problem the day before!).

Been camping there since I was a little girl. One of my favorite places to be in the summer.

Overall it wasn't terrible but we won't stay there again. It's a nice location and the grounds are well maintained but seeming we had so many problems we will probably choose somewhere else next time we are planning on going into Shipshe.

Spacious, flat sites: Anyone with a camper knows how nice this is. We were able to pull right to our site with little leveling involved.

Pro's:

Bathrooms: Each "Par" or road has it's own porta potty, which is nice that you don't need to walk a mile to use the bathroom but the porta potty was really just a hole in the ground (as they all are, I know) which didn't lock and did not have toilet paper. That was an awkward walk back to camp, for sure. They have a pool which has a large bathroom with showers that I used while we where using the dump station on the way out. No toilet paper again and no soap at the sink! Really?! I understood the porta potties but did not expect that at the real bathroom. Oh, and no locks on the doors again.

Cons:

I really wanted to give this campground a 2.5 but it seems as if I can't give half stars on Google.

MY FAMILY HAD A WONDERFUL TIME!! THE FELLOW CAMPERS WERE VERY NICE. THE CAMPGROUND STAFF WAS AWESOME! WILL BE BACK SUMMER 2010.

Convenient: If you are planning on going into Shipshe it is a great Location. 20 minutes away from downtown. PLUS, they have Hot N Now in Sturgis for Fast Foodies.

Air Conditioning problems: If you are planning on using air conditioning in your camper plan on paying $3 more a day. The electric is touchy and our air turned off quite a few times causing us to have to reset the electric. We called the office and they were happy to help with suggestions (which helped).

Very friendly. The office staff was friendly and helpful with any problem we encountered. Even the seasonal campers were nice as a couple of them approached us on the way out to let us know we left our tv antenna up (oops).

Okay, so we just got home from staying at this campground for the weekend. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't our favorite either. Here are the pros and cons of our visit:
